Just want to hear different view points as not something I have thought about tbh but regardless of this specific case I guess as parents me and my wife need to start considering their profile and internet safety as they start to use the internet more and more. Thanks for your comments m...

But now they are at school they have online newsletters and such that they can (and have) appeared in and I have soften enough to b...

Hell yes. I resisting for ages, but as I was commuting in 0-2 deg C temps at times over winter I bit the bullet. Wish I'd done it earlier. It actually makes your riding safer I reckon.Frankie wrote:They really are the business.Kwacky wrote:My next commuting bike will have heated grips

Mixed tapes!
I spent about 20 mins a few weeks back trying to explain a tape cassette to my 8 yr old son. He wrapped it up by saying 'things were so stupid in the olden days'

Books vs Digital
I like a good read, and with my regular work travel I'm getting through a fair few books these days, a couple a month is not unusual. While shopping about for my next read "That Near Death Thing: Inside the Most Dangerous Race in the World" I found a digital copy on iTunes for half the cos...

You can't win with these fecktards jlawie, you have been better off not telling them and getting someone to stamp the frame with the original frame number. Too many times I've cut corners. Knowing my luck that will come back and bite me! Very tempting though. DVLAs attitude does nothing but encoura...

If we are going to start raving about HD's on this site... I'm leaving :D My Dad is a big Harley nut, makes me ride his every time I go home to visit, I still don't like them. I appreciate the machinery and how they appeal to some people, but they aren't for me. If I wanted something slow, noisy, vi...

Crap situation, and as Rob said, I would've reacted similarly. It's your natural instinct to protect and defend your kids. And it seems with good cause in this case given his previous record. I really feel for the father and his family, poor buggar.

Good point Perkles, see told ya I'm not that clever
I actually have been thinking of trying an experiment with CF wrap then gel coating to see what the results are like. I reckon it would be a cheap way to get a authentic wet CF look.

I think I will leave hand painting them with lacquer, I don't think it would turn out very well IMO. I think it's spray. I've got a spare set. I might give it a go. Me and Perkles can get high off the fumes. I'd be leaning towards using a resin coating rather than a lacquer, then it's just another ...
