Not a bad weekend but had a dnf and a crash in moto3 and both riders were in the front group so disappointing.
Really enjoying watching moto3 at the moment. Its the best class of racing in any series at the moment IMO.

I like them mate!! They look pretty snazzy.
And as you say, any additional signalling which other road users may see is a bonus

Re: Trackdays - Moving on up
I'm glad you posted this. I was thinking about Novices as I don't know the circuit, having last ridden it about 14 years ago. They've thrown in a chicane since then, I'm track rusty and on my own road bike.
Hmmm.

... in the UK are the Techtronic and the HM, both have a good name for reliability, iirc can be adjusted for shift cut duration and available in race/road shift. From what I recall the HM is the more expensive option but seems to have more cachet attached to it as they're used in pro race series more.

I took the quick shifter I had on the rc8 off and sold it, I'd always wanted one and great fun but not really necessary on the road.

Re: SP Syncrotech QS
The 848 Corse SE i test rode last year had a quickshifter. Its a great piece of kit and would work really well on the track but not sure it has any benefit on the road.

... adds quite a bit of extra cost. Now knowing the bike a bit better I reckon I could have done this in about 90 mins..ish. I haven't tried it on the road yet, so tried it on the paddock stand and the shifting was seamless...well impressed, especially for £240 (y)

The route to Cheddar seems good, there is a decent mix of fast flowing A roads and some tighter more demanding A/B roads, there is also a few bits of town riding to give us a rest. The route time does seem to be about 2 1/2 ...

I can never understand how the UK populace can get so worked up about things that don't really matter yet something like this which impinges on every road users freedom and no one gives a monkey's.
