I think I would cancel it too. I hate that typee of thing. And when you say you work full time so can't be there, they expect you to take some holiday to receive the delivery. You'd never have an actual holiday if you did that for every delivery or home improvement ...

... were checked again at 24k and didn't need any. Up to 40k now so I probably won't bother again. If you're certain they've never been checked I'd say do it anyway. Also might be worth getting the throttle bodies balanced if you haven't already.
