Re: MotoGP raises pitlane safety for flag-to-flag pitstop ra

Is there anything you haven't done? Plenty. But not much of it is stuff I'd want to do. I figure I've got one shot & have to make it count, just like anyone else. And I also figure that if someone else has done it, then there's no reason why I can't too. And if I'm afraid of something, then I a...

Re: What a day of MotoGP!

There'd be a vibration in my intestinal tract. And not in a good way. BUT!!!! Is that not how it is supposed to be (in racing, not my tummy)??? I mean......the engines don't last long, none of the equipment does. Isn't the old axiom of racing "If you're not breaking stuff, you're not going hard...

Re: MotoGP raises pitlane safety for flag-to-flag pitstop ra

Not surprised. The pressure on the guys in pitlane is immense...your whole day is focused on that 30-45 second stop. I wore a lid when I worked pit at Fontana. The pitlane is a tremendously dangerous place to be, and the heat coming off the cars (in my case) was unbelievable. And what can it hurt?? ...

Re: Rio Olympics

It's once every 4 years....it's 'seldom' enough that I usually find the time to watch at least some of it, and I have to admit I've watched more than I usually do this time around But it does have cycling, which I'm really into, and a few other things. I kinda enjoy the Winter Olympics more...can re...

Yep.....that's about as nice a looking bike as you could want.

Sorry....pedal kind.

The rear disc set-up on one of them is an absolute POS.

Which makes perfect sense, as it's about the most expensive blinged-out junk-fest in the entire cosmos.

Avid 'Juicy' Carbon sommit...??

I borrow a Honda or my old Daytona if I need to.....stepson has the latter.

Re: 2017 Yamaha R6?

It's hard to fault the look of that. I always liked the asymmetric look of a side exhaust. Looks a bit stodgy by today's standards, but the view out the front will still be good. And fleeting.

Re: What you watching?

Really?? I never thought the two accents sounded the same. I can see why people mistake them, but they're subtly disparate...like a Geordie and a Mackem...Norcal/Socal.....Boston/ NYC..etc. They aren't subtly different, that's like telling a Scotsman he sounds Irish. The convicts were sent to Aus b...

Re: Rio Olympics

We've won more medals in more sports than the US. Take out swimming and the US looks very weak. :D Whaaaat??? So your logic is,,,take away some of our medals, and we don't look very good??? (d) ?????? But in all seriousness....I honestly don't like the nationalistic angle of the whole thing. I unde...

Re: Syria - Injured boy video

What??? I don't know about you, but I'm not responsible for any of that whatsoever. You take care of your own, and you do so selfishly (in a good way)...you trust someone else to do it, and this is the result....or something like it. If you do charity work, you do it for yourself, and hope there's '...
