Destroyed a gearbox casing on a large isolation valve. The mechanical stop was mis-adjusted and wasn't very robust (giggle)

Luckily the valve I was closing is never to be opened again, so some belzona instant metal mix and stop-aq weather seal tape sorted it out

... the get go. I’ve been doing an hour hike each morning once the kids are dropped, so racked up over 20 km on them already. La Sportiva for me - again no wearing in and brilliant for hiking and climbing. I've walked almost every day with the dog since i bought them to do everest base camp etc ...
