At the Autosport show last January i chatted to a guy who is involved in speed records and he was quite scathing of the Bloodhound effort.

He reckond the kit they are using is 30 years old and has no chance of breaking any records.

... but virtually stop on the twisties, I heard them described as "Corner Campers" by Tony Scott (Triumph Triple Challenge founder) some years back which is about right i think. They are a pita tbh.

He's a Dutch guy from the z1000sx.co.uk site. Looks like he's had a nice mix of bikes over the years.

Good review. Sadly typical of track days over the last few years.

Sounds like you had fun anyway but I do wonder why they let some people near a track. The guy who lost a sump? Knob.

... it was a great day and my pace, confidence and ability grew through out the day as I planned to start slow and build gradually as its been 4 years since I was last on track and glad to say it all went according to plan and much fun was had which is what its all about.

Yes and no too, i guess.

He's fortunate he appears to be able to earn money without needing a base to do it from.

He did have a brain tumour a couple of years before the trip which i'm pretty sure changes some of the choices we make in life and what we would consider important.

(Austria or Switzerland for the scenery) route 66 when I'm older but preferably not on a bike would like a lovely V8 mustang as I have always for years and years said I'd love to do that so can't change that!! ... are far worse for human health than a petrol engines because of the particulates. We should have gone small capacity petrol turbo/super chargers years ago. Much much cleaner and getting to diesel mpg and above in some cases. There are now millions of diesel company car users, myself included ...
