Re: The State of the NHS

When my dad was in his last few years, he spent a lot of time in and out of hospital in Lowestoft. On the more serious incidences, when he was released from general hospital he was sent to a convalescing hospital for a few days or so to ensure ...

For The Love of Bike

... orginally started life by my friend to be able to keep in contact with a group of mates so they could chat and arrange meet ups etc a fair few years back. However now he has enlisted me to try to enlarge the population of the page! It's generally Berkshire based riders however we aren't limiting ...

Re: The new improved fitness thread

So, after a rather pathetic attempt at a 10 mile cross country race on new years eve I've decided I need to get my running form back... To help with motivation I've just signed up for a 16 mile point-to point race on the 2nd of April. It's an attempt at a distance ...

Re: Yamaha price increases

Bike prices dropped quite a lot here in the UK about 10 years ago.

For me I think you get a lot of bike for your money. A 200bhp racebike with full electronics for £15k? That's still a bargain IMO.

Never thought I would be a fan when first arrived on bikes a few years back but have to say I'm a convert now. I don't trigger it often but as you say nice to know the safety blanket is there just in case. I've had the traction control but in more times ...

... and have off road bikes. All kids ones but I jumped on the 150 and had a few good hammers around the track. It brought back all the memories of my years trail riding. Wes (the dad) is considering getting one for himself and reckons I should sell the track bike and buy one too so we can ride together. ...

Not the postman but tidying the loft today found a US Navy SEAL Divers knife. Must have been up there 20 years. I remember swapping it with a SEAL for a RM Green Beret wheb on exercise in 29 Palms, Death Valley.

New years Eve and to be honest I'm not one to go out for the night. Usually ends badly for some reason so instead we are downloading a couple of films for tonight. The Sausage Party (I think it's called) and also Brotherhood and having our usual Chinese for our meal!!

I've been replaying BF4 over Christmas. Such a great game even though it's 3 years old! I really hope this VR takes off and it's not like 3D TVs which gradually sloped and noone really uses it because I really want a BF or CoD VR game in the coming years!
