At a Crimbo dinner a few years back, we were talking about books that had made a big impression on us; one of my Sisters was an Arthur C Clarke, at which my Maj (ret'd) FiL said "He came ...

You'd definitely know you were doing 149 on a Suzuki 1100 :D

He wasn't helping himself as the bike had been stood for years. I know i wouldn't do that on a bike i wasn't sure of! (and then only on a test track (blush) )

100% agree Deegee. We shouldn't have gone with hindsight but he was so excited and his friends were going so I took the gamble as it was only spitting when we left home. Half way through I could see the pain on his face although he did dig deep and still made an effort ...

... re Gerbings gloves, I've worn a pair in horrendous riding conditions - a 13hr stint in pouring rain and blowing a hooley (675.cc fest), the gloves were steaming every time we stopped, but despite being wet through when I got home my hands were toasty warm. Try them once and you'll never go back.

What did you do to your bike today ??

Gerbings gloves are water proof. The pair my dad has got wet on the inside after his jacket leaked and they were still keeping his hands warm. There was steam coming off his hands when he took the gloves off. Lubed my sidestand pivot because it was sticking and copper greased ...

Morning The bike is 12 years old and there's no telling how old the seals were before there were fitted. If it were me I would go with OEM, I don't think they're that expensive. If you're going to do the job yourself you can get some good packages which include ...

First 2 sets were OK, but my form started to waver and on set 3, rep 3, there was just too much instability so I decided not to try and push the last couple. Don't ...
