Re: What are you doing today ??

Nipping into the Council tip then Lidls after (1m away), to see if I can pick up some Kabanossi and mustard form their Polish week. If I can avoid puffing like a steam train I'll be clearing some of the garden up later as well, it looks a disgrace after the winter storms.

They were a perfect comedy pairing. The intelligence of them both really shines through in most of their work.

Why do they bother?
Well if they can't work out how to use their indicators you can't expect them to realise that a motorbike is going to blow them into the weeds!

... for a superbike. From an economics point of view the 600s make no sense to the manufacturer. I guess the difference is in the electronics and their development. Just look at the R1 as an example, 6 axis inertia unit, race abs, power modes, launch control, traction control, slide control, quickshifter, ...

They are pretty annoying and I try not to watch their videos and adding to their revenue stream too much. You can pick up tips and map knowledge off them though. In a shooter like call of duty map knowledge is at least 50% of the battle.

Judging by my recent visit to a number of US cities, more than 1 in 8 must eat their own bodyweight in mcdonalds everyday frankly.

A litre bike will be less frantic (though the 675 may be an exception here) but its each to their own.

Re: CBR600RR no more

I think rider aids are helping sell 1000s. A lot of people used to work their way up to a one litre bike. There was always the talk of learning your craft as well as the fears of a highside from the bigger engine bikes Now you've got rider aids helping to mop ...

Re: CBR600RR no more

Things run in cycles with bikes, in my biking life I've seen sports mopeds come and go, road trail bikes ran their course and came back again, the 250 class was epic but still disappeared, 2 strokes were legislated out of existence, big V twins ruled the racetrack (and dealers ...

I don't think they have to worry about Euro 4 regs in racing.

Looks like Dorna called their bluff and I'm not surprised tbh.

It wouldn't be good for Honda if the world's No.1motorcycle manufacturer were not involved in the premier class of racing.
