Your excess should be £600 (an example)
However, the company tell you that it's only £250 to get your business in. If you claim, they stump up £350 as part of the settlement, so you only lose £250.
It's a risk they take. They may well have their own insurance policy to cover that excess.

I had bike sure. I never had to use them for claiming but their customer services were excellent so if that's anything to go by then I'm sure claim department would be made to work just as hard

Most of what is claimed are uninsured losses such as damages for injury, loss of earnings, care etc. The Claimant's lawyers claim their money from us (our insurer client's pay) when they're successful.C00kiemonster wrote:

... for sure. On the other hand i do think some practical trades now take the pi$$ in terms of the time it takes them to deliver what they do - i.e. their hourly rates are far too high. I guess the same is true in the legal profession with some of their rates :D

Not really sure where it went wrong tbh, as you say it could have been done very well, unusual for Tim Burton.
On a plus note, one of my customers got a mensh in the credits (I liked the Florence track) for their work, they've done loads of film work and hardly ever get noted for it, a win for them.
