It surely cannot be too much to ask of a town/city to provide facilities for those who are doing so much to make sure their economies run and their shops ...

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

Whilst the current Government is undoubtedly awful, I'm not so sure that the resolution is as simple as removing them.? Fwiw it seems to me that, like it or not, we have a government that reflects the state. Our ...

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

I'm sure someone once told me he was a communist at Uni.

No idea if that is true but i think it was a teacher when Gove was busy wrecking the education system and i was a school governor.

Yeah, I'm sure by now he's seen the error of vile misogynist ways and probably went on to marry a lovely (homophobic, transphobic, holocaust denier) lass.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Also "to be fair".... changing an oil filter is about as easy as it gets - I'm not even sure how you can mess up something so rudimentary, let alone a mechanic buggering it up. What a cowboy.

Not to sure why, but there seem to be very few Brits who visit Corsica. It is a bikers paradise, and just about every French biker that I know has been there for the roads. There were plenty of Germans and Austrians too. Given ...

Re: Fundraising - Tips & Tricks

... this would take and set that as a challenge. I would aim for this to be offroad as much as possible. Maybe I could turn it into 100kms, I'm not sure. I feel hours would be a lot bigger a challenge.

Re: Getting the Mrs on the Back

... that goes with it.... "Are you having fun??" "Oh yes... can we stop and get milk & bread on the way home??" " Oh, sure. Wonderful." F###! And just like that, a leisurely Sunday morning ride turns into the grocery expedition from Hell.

Re: The cycling thread

Hopefully going to my mate's local trails with him tomorrow along with another friend. I'm sure it will end in tears for one of us - hopefully that's not me.

I'll be stripping, cleaning and greasing my headset too because it's creaking far too much.

Re: One for the car cleaning and polishing brigade

... with a dedicated paintwork clearcoat... using the right product by hand will do very little. Wax crayon actually isn't a terrible idea just make sure you put a sealant over the top of it when you're done to give it a chance of sticking around

Washed and polished the SX and gave it a once over to make sure there's nothing falling off or needs flagging at the service.
