I'm sure the trip with BBS to Jerez was round that sort of money.
If you can, make sure you go for an open pit day, it was well worth it. We had more rain than expected, so those without wets lost an hour or so of track time in the morning.

Re: New Toy
... think it needs it as its a genuinely quick car as standard and feels as quick as the 911 I test drove on the road at least although on track Im sure the 911 would blitz it. I think the 335d which is not available as a cabriolet is 4 wheel drive with BMW'S x drive and I can see why to handle ...

Fantastic. Well done him!
Your right to make sure he doesn't get a bit complacent now his offer is unconditional, however that's a real relief for you too on his future.

... I'm guessing you're looking at £300 for the 01s. I'll probably stick with the Z8s for now - they're doing a good job in the cold and wet and I'm sure they'll be fine in the summer. I can get the 01s next winter when hopefully they've come down in price. Do you know roughly what sort of mileage ...

Also gym tonight. Then might pop over to see some mates tonight, but I'm on call, so not sure about that. I have loads of work to do and the overtime is mightily attractive right now... Tomorrow, test riding my new, officially middle-aged bike (that's your cue, Kwacky! ...

Sounds to me like he's not really sure what his priorities are any more.
It's clear there isn't enough time in a week for him to work a full time job, ride mountain bikes, race motorbikes AND be a TV personality. Something had to give.
