Re: Fuel prices

Too many sad acts in this Country.

They will probably be the same people berating immigrants, who have nothing at all, trying to come to the UK for a better life.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

... a component of natural gas, which is mostly methane. Using up the CO2 in a reactor plant is simply a method of recycling the gas in much the same way as a turbocharger recycles exhaust gases to produce more power. Or sommit like that, innit??

Re: The new improved fitness thread

Good.... I guess the workouts are having the right effect..... muscle carries more weight/density than fat. So people get fit, they lose the flab, but often the weight stays more or less the same.

Re: Back on a Kwak

... they move around a lot and they liked to push the bike out wide. I'll have a play with the pressures but having read other SX riders reporting the same I suspect a new set of boots is the best option.

Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike

... again as the ride progressed as I occasionally gave them some hammer. The engine is quite tappety sounding, all 3 demo's they had were all the same so it's probably just how these engines are, an exhaust will help. Oh yeah just one other gripe, the standard seat is very firm and ok for an hour ...

Fundraising - Tips & Tricks

... I'll try and do a cycling challenge and I'm trying to pick something tough but achievable. So far, the winner seems to be trying to cycle for the same amount of time as Vinnie will be receiving treatment. I'll just need to figure out a time scale to fit this in. As for where the money goes, I ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Took the SX in for the first service. No issues.

I had an old ER6 for the day. Same engine as the Versys but in a much smaller bike. Good fun. I do like those little engines.

I reckon there won't be many more days I can get away with wearing summer gloves.

... 675 engine.? -This time with perhaps a slightly shorter stroke, rather than the 90cc of bigger bore. Essentially, yes. I presume it's the same as the Trident engine and that's the old 675 Daytona engine with a shorter stroke.

Re: The new improved fitness thread

I always did squats and the few deadlifts I did in just my socks. Much better engagement and secure base to push from. The same goes for leg press.

My leg press PB was 502.5kg for 2 (maybe 3) and that was with just my socks on.
