I think he's watched the west not give a shit about the Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans, Yemeni and Palestinians and assumed we would react the same when the people are white and broadly European. But the reaction from the MSM and the support from the general population has been very different ...

Kazakhstan managed to refuse the same request and they're much poorer than Belarus.
The president of Belarus is a Putin puppet. He's very unpopular.
I just find it strange that Russia is begging for help given how Putin keeps bragging how strong his country is.

Belarus barely has a choice in that. That poverty stricken country sees the same happening to them if they don't side with Russia as they wouldn't be able to join NATO quick enough to stay alive.
Unless I'm completely missing something.

NATO don't want to let Ukraine in and have left Ukraine on their own. What a sorry state this world is in. I suppose this is the same for Iraq back in the 00's albeit I was a child and didn't see Politics for what it is.

Electricity can be produced with zero emissions. Not sure any other fuels can be.
The reality is most cars can carry 4-5 people, yet 95% 0f the time they only have one occupant but use pretty much the same amount of energy. It's not sustainable.
