Re: One for the Honda fan boys

... not how it should be judged but rather how it rides and sadly none of us will have that chance. Imo I don't think Honda intended it to be a road bike at all. It is rather a limited edition, engineering showcase of their prototype racer with just enough concessions to make it road legal.

Re: One for the Honda fan boys

sounds great but way under powered for the road bike at the price,it should be a fire breathing monster and in typical honda fashion they manage to make it dull

Really?? My ESP kicks in a bit late, usually when you are half way across the road it decides to cut the power..

Re: Parcel delivery companies

Its the variance between companies i find so strange. Some are very good at what they do, DPD appear to be excellent and let you know when it will be delivered the day before and we now even have an option for it to be left at the shop across the road and pick up there.

Re: Parcel delivery companies

We had a parcel put in our wheelie bin while we were on holiday. Our kind neighbours then pulled the wheelie bin to the road on bin day. Bye bye parcel. The only reason we knew was because they did leave a card saying it was in the bin. We can only assume it was contact lenses as luckily ...

... talking to another IAM Associate last week at one our our ride outs and he did his first ever track day and said it was tough to turn off from the road head! They also do novice only days and occasionally you see road bike only days.

Don't think novice as slow it's not, it is best described as first time track rider.

Winter Driving

Couple of comments about the current road conditions so thought I would start a thread on winter driving as I was blown away by what I saw in finland recently. Roads are basically covered in slippy compacted snow (not ice) which is slippy enough ...

I really do wonder if road salt is effective. They don't use it in France and I don't see too many issues and cars last a lot longer as they don't rust away...

Re: Record weather

Road salt. The roads have been gritted. The chemical crap in the salt does something with the moisture and effectively retains it.

... door! (facepalm) :@ The driver or someone wheeled my wheelie up to the front door where they were left and tried to hide them by blocking from the road !
