Re: Head or Heart?

... it's very heavy on the wrists etc... Nonetheless Triumph have addressed that issue, and also created one that is comfortable for more commuter/UK road orientated riding. Hth. P.S. Interesting to know that a Hardly Davison rider would choose the ZX, I expect that fact will also greatly help Monty's ...

Re: Performance Driving

Cheers Perks appreciate the link. Looks good but seems more track focused and aimed at getting competitive lap times. I think I would prefer skid pan / drift training and fast road driving.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

A chavette on a battered old scooter today with a motocross lid (unfastened) and a tracksuit on that revealed more flesh than is actually on an average sized woman, wobbling along the road having a chat on her mobile with it on loud speaker. Never a careless driver when you need one.....

Performance Driving

Re: Head or Heart?

For what its worth, my 2011 Daytona has never missed a beat mechanically and has been raced from day 1, never even seeing a road. Its true that race tuned, the engines can prove themselves to be a little fragile with big bhp but mine has a kit head gasket and full race exhaust, making ...

Re: CBR 600rr refresh

Yeah. Maybe refresh isn't the right word. Tidy up maybe? Thanks all so far. Plugs and filters done last year, but good point. Bike will stay as a road bike, I don't think I'd get away with a track weapon, it's almost too good. It's almost as new apart from the aged parts, which I'll sort. Are the ...

... bikers don't get seen because drivers don't look. You could have a flashing light on your head and they still won't see you if they don't scan the road properly. This. Hi Viz has no effect ime. People see patterns. And those "Polite" vests make me think of those "Baby On Board!" ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Looking at textile cleaners to use when I wash my textiles. The recent damp weather and high levels of road crud have left them smelling a bit musty.

Given the stupid prices of these products I might stick with normal washing machine liquid.

Re: Chain mileage

I was once at one of the Wootton Bassett rides, waiting with hundreds of other bikers to be let out on the road. I went to the loo and left Rosa (who was a year old) with my two mates. I got back to find my mate being slagged off because the R1 - which didn't belong to him - ...

Oulton Park 2016

... now my turn to organise something.<br/> I've been to Oulton three or four times now and just love the place. It's a track that's a lot like the road in many ways with its cambers and hills. I live maybe forty minutes from Oulton and could store bikes in my garage over night before/after for ...

Re: Slappers in France - June 2016

Price wise don't forget to factor in a hotel in Portsmouth Wednesday night. Unless you're going to leave Brum at around 4/5am to get to the ferry at 8am.

The over night ferry does take a lot of the stress out of it, plus you're on the road in France by 9am fully breakfasted.

Got my shock back on the bike yesterday, just got to sort out my brakes now and she's-a-ready to get back on the road/track.

After doing MiniMoto the other week I can't wait to be back on the bike

... in the naked and sports bike market? As for the ride, power wheelies were abundant ha ha ha ha, told you it was spirited ;) still not totally dry roads though, flooded sections, mud build up in the road where you want to be on the bike, but it was long overdue and fun. Quiet a few bikes out today ...
