... dinner at the Black Bull in Monyash (The old Smithy tea room is VERY popular with bikers, but we didn't want a half hour que for a coffee so went next door) then back up to Langsett reservoir to say goodbyes as they headed back to Leeds while I headed off through Barnsley and home again.

Re: Portuguese MotoGP
Missing the next 2 races and long laps will be put in place when he races next. But which race will the long laps have to be taken? Sprint or main race? I guess main race?
Anyone else think that the sprint race results should determine grid position for the main race?

Re: 2023 MotoGP line up
There's 4 riders out for the next race.
Rumours are circling that they're not happy with the sprint racing. It's too much to get in for a weekend.

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
Yes it's a very snug fit in there, I had to put the chain on the sprocket before sliding it on so I don't think a +1 would work on the front, it's a pretty tall geared bike so not many would want to go up on the front sprocket. I'm back from Jordan bikes already as the ECU did communicate with the W...

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
Great work there Stonesie, as usual...
What stuck me immediately though, is that I have never seen a font sprocket with so tight a space around it. That appears as though the chain would be almost touching the casing, and any chance of changing the ratio +1 at the front would be out ?

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
Yeah it was not a straight forward job but did allow me to remove the old chain without cutting it, so I riveted the new one in the garage with my chain tool in the bench vise, a bit easier than freehand trying not to scratch any shiny painted things. There's always a positive. Today's thing is a tr...

Re: Test rode a BMW F900XR/Stonesies next new bike
Today I did the air filter, which is ridiculously easy and the chain/sprocket kit, which is a pain as BMW made 1 part do several jobs. This 1 plate holds both front and rear pegs, the gear shift pivot, the bolts for both stands and the swing arm pivot bolt which is a single use item... Oh it also ac...

First day of 10 off work so just relaxing and doing some diy.
The garage desperately needs a tidy up but that's for next week.

Exactly!
Unfortunately, probably just going straight to paying next years insurance premium outright rather than monthly. I MAY be getting an additional Mountain Bike though...

Re: Brexit thread
I’d love to know who sat down and worked out how much change all this would entail. I suspect no one did. If the referendum was run again next year i am pretty sure it would have a very different result. The way the figures read today, it’s hard to envisage the Uk having any car manufacturers ...

Unless things change considerably then rejoining the Single market might be the only option to the next Government to prevent the UK finances spiralling out of control.
