Took the 748 out for the afternoon. Round Sutton Maddock, out to Newport and home. The new Pirelli Rosso Corsas are now properly scrubbed in and work really well on the bike. Quicker steering and more linear turn than the Dunlops. Forgotten just how good that ...

Took the 748 out for the afternoon. Round Sutton Maddock, out to Newport and home. The new Pirelli Rosso Corsas are now properly scrubbed in and work really well on the bike. Quicker steering and more linear turn than the Dunlops. Forgotten just how good that ...

Removing tyres

Anyone ever done this at home?

I need to remove the tyres from the Marchesinis I bought ready for powder coating. I suspect Might need to order a proper tyre lever.

Also got to remove the bearings from the front wheel

Finished work at 1245. It's 2.5 miles home. Got in at 1445. Took the bike on a little circuit around Norfolk to bed the tyres in a little more. That's between 150 to 200 miles so they should be fine now. Well, the middle of them will be! (blush) ...

... now ? So I may leave the fitting till Wednesday when I'm off and have more time, would like to do it Sunday but it'll be close to 4am when I get home (facepalm) and with it being Mother's Day I'll have a bit of visiting to do in the afternoon.

... changing room where I keep my kit, so I can now heat up my jacket when I get into work so it's nice and toasty when I put it on before the ride home.

I have eaten to much this evening...a roast, a Belgian bun, a scone with jam at home after work and just had a cheeky brownie down in Southampton now off home...feeling it now though :-( I've done this to myself I know!! Lol

... easy to lose the love of riding when you use it every day. I've got the car for days like today when the weather is crap. It takes longer to get home but at least I don't have to get out of wet clothes and put the bike away. Must agree however you can have a very nice car and if you use it everyday ...

It's easy to lose the love of riding when you use it every day. I've got the car for days like today when the weather is crap. It takes longer to get home but at least I don't have to get out of wet clothes and put the bike away.
