Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread

... the time it's working now. I need to train my brain to get back into sports mode. The bike mops up everything and gets on with it. Previous sports bikes have felt like they're falling into corners, this almost floats like there's no issue with gravity. It's a bit hard to explain but it feels as ...

Re: Got Me a Ducati

1600 miles in 6 years? Obviously not owned by someone into bikes :D Top find. I'm the 6th owner, but hey, it's got full service history. It's done an average of 300 miles a year. I've done that in two weeks just bobbing around. The bloke I bought it off ...

Re: Stonesie New Bike

... and Ducati Multistrada it's as advanced as a potato. Like my friend Garry, he won't ever be without his gen 1 Hyabusa, even though he has 3 other bikes he can buy and sell those without a thought but that 'Busa is going nowhere unless he's riding it. I might upgrade the headlights, after a night ...

Re: Ducati Multistrada V4

It is expensive but bikes are now.

It's well priced when you look at what the other bikes of this type are going for.

Re: The cycling thread

I’m with Kwacky. I rode regularly, had a road bike and two mountain bikes. Moved up to where I am now which is extremely hilly. My street has 16% gradient. I’ve barely touched the bikes in 10 yrs as I have to pack it into a car, drive minimum 10 km away to ...

Re: The cycling thread

Ah I see. Yeah that's a problem. I find myself chucking the bike in the back for the most part for exactly that reason. Is there any common land or woods near you with dog walking paths that are suitable for bikes? That would be a nice fitness builder most likely.

Re: The cycling thread

I've had the same Seller Italia Flite saddle (with perforations!!) on three different bikes now.... the thing must be 25 years old, if my reckoning is correct.

Re: The cycling thread

Not long Kwacky.. just 383 days :? Did you know, most bike manufactures don't make female specific bikes anymore? As D41 says, modern geometry has a low standover height. This makes it great for gravity trails as you have more space to position yourself in the way that's ...

Re: Stonesie New Bike

I used to say the same about my 955 when it came to the roads it preferred. It really seemed happiest on fast winding A roads rather than back lanes. It was my first big bike so I just thought that was what litre bikes were like

Re: Kwacky's next new bike thread

... on its ear at every corner. The small size, low weight and well balanced feel work really well. Lots of people, myself included, argue that naked bikes let you feel the speed so you're a bit more sensible. Yeah. About that. You can hit 110-120 in no time. It's not the wind but the noise coming ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

BMW's latest trick is to put the reflector above the plate on the standard hanger.

The latest bikes have also gone a bit nuts and done away with the rear light, it's integrated into the indicators now.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

... Just chatting to the guy, the biking season seems to be going well so far. He's had two call up so far and cancel as they've stacked their bikes and broken bones |( The weekend wobblers are going to be out, and in ditches, in mass numbers this year by the look of it.
