Re: Will Automated vehicles mean the end of Motorbikes ?

Police bikes have a few advantages over patrol cars, in a few areas of police work...and that's it. Beyond those few specific uses they're just not a very practical option for most police forces. End of the day they're just too expensive, because it always comes down to money at some level or other.

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

... an E60 5 series so it now has the low tone running on the standard wiring and the high running from a HEX EZ can, a magic box which talks to the bikes canbus system so it doesn't throw a fit when an extra horn is fitted or some extra lighting... Like a pare of Denali D4's which I scooped up cheap ...

Re: NEW Bike day-ish, GS Round 2

A little update, The first service has been done and they looked in to the bikes gremlins (SOS system and oil level faults) and found that there were several communication errors logged so did a full software update which can take up to 4 hours usually but sometimes ...

Re: MV Orioli LXP

I really can't see how they're justifying the price. It's the 800cc engine they've been using in several bikes so that should keep the costs down.

MV Orioli LXP

931cc all terrain bike. 122bhp. 75 ft/lb

Limited to 500 bikes and a mere €30,000

It comes with big panniers (39l and 32l), centre stand, skid plates, crash bars, race can, etc. Still seems a silly price though.

I also put the missus’s 400-4 back together, it’s been in bits for 10 years. I now need to find time to strip it completely / properly and get it running, needs a lot of work but a cool bike. 1976 vintage 👍🏻

Re: New Royal Enfield Himlayan 450

I spent a few months up there riding bikes, mostly Japanese 125s because it was 25 years ago and the Enfields were sh!t then. Desperately want to go back and thinking I might do it with this company in the next couple of years. I'm too old ...

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Don't get the 899 based on performance... our bikes are faster, or at least mine has been on trackdays :)

Yeah full system and I'm sure there are a few other small cheap mods which help it breathe better too.
