Re: Ace Cafe

... to a brit bike night and some other times after that for other events. I wasn't too impressed with the brit bike night only a hand full of brit bikes were there and then a few jap bikes as well, and they buggered off when the scooter crew rode over and started doing wheelies and burn outs. Not ...

Re: Old Skool Biking

... traction of a twin out of the bends, and there is nothing better to put a grin on you face than the smile that comes with it. I know more modern bikes are more powerful and more advanced, but I just find them a little too good and a little sterile.. Even if I could afford it I'm not sure I could ...

Re: H2R 206 MPH

I spent about 20 minutes inspecting the one at Brum. Each time you look at something you spot something new attached to it.

It's not the prettiest of bikes but it's a fantastic piece of engineering.

Re: Want!

A lot of bikes are developed with future regs in mind, but won't actually technically refer to them until they need to. As you say, there's no point developing bikes knowing what is upcoming if it won't pass those regs as well.

Re: H2R 206 MPH

Looks mental.

They are marmite bikes. Glad someone has the balls to make one but equally not something i would ever want to own.

Can't really see the point in a bike that you cannot use anywhere.

... I got a free dyno out of it, but he never sent me a copy of the game he promised :( he did email me to say my bike was the sound of the Suzuki bikes. either 2010 or 2011 I think.

There's a place for tricked up bikes with computers and the back to basics type of two wheeled fun.

So long as it puts a smile on your face.

Re: Old Skool Biking

Kind of my thinking in sticking with a 600.

I reckon my ZX6R and the like is the last of the pure sports bikes. All the power, no gizmos and very little EU restriction. Which is why I intend to keep it.

Re: Old Skool Biking

I wouldn't expect much difference on the road between the two bikes, at least not without a full frontal lobotomy!

... in a crash. Not saying they are all designed with that purpose, but by default they do offer some protection. I have seen a number of bikes with them on both sides, but no idea if it's the norm on top level racing.

Re: Want!

i suspect there maybe a few bikes fitted with fugly exhausts in 2017 :D

It would not make any sense for bikes developed in the last 12 months or so not to be easily Euro 4 compliant. There are mechanical noise limits involved too.

Re: Want!

I think the only current bike that meets Euro 4 is the Multistrada.

I'm not aware of any other bikes that meet the regs from any manufacturer but I'm sure some must do.

Re: Want!

Good thinking Duke should be some bargains about but I guess it will only be bikes that don't meet Euro4 though.

I assume the 899 and 1299 meet euro 4 ? And the 1199 doesnt ?

... time next year and see if they update that. The introduction of the Euro 4 regulations in Jan 2017 means there will be a lot of pre-registered new bikes up for sale this time next year.
