Re: Ducati New Model Launch Live 330 pm Today

There is a full Akra race system available but they usually cost megabucks. I suspect Ducati may have to offer this as a freebie to get some bikes on the road.

May go back to my original idea of an early 1199 and make it what i want, or wait a few years for a s/h 1299.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

I thought this post was about bikes not silly electric cars. Come on guys talking electric cars in a bike thread is sounding the GAY alarm. Let's keep this on topic and take the gayNess out of the room (giggle) http://i696.photobucket.com/albums/vv322/tankslap/gay-love-spells-mantra-to-attract-someone_zpsj8faawmx.jpg ...

@Duke. Good article in fast bikes dec15 edition comparing the 1299 to the 899 as road bikes.

Think you might enjoy the read.

Re: Technical Question - Suspension

... you're on the right track, with getting the front refreshed and resprung, but as Cav pointed out its the rear that's typically very poor on most bikes, the problem is one of both cost and compromise. The oem Shock is typically a cheap unit, (unless you've bought a special model), plus it's set ...

Re: Technical Question - Suspension

Typically the rear suspension is the weak link on Japanese bikes. I'd be surprised if a fork/shock refresh made any noticeable difference without changing the springs as the oil is still pretty new and probably not had a great deal of hard use. Next time ...
