Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

... the army to get my HGV licence faster, I held my licence at the age of 17. It was all I ever wanted to do, drive trucks, I had that vision of being a knight of the roads, bringing the goods to everyone, providing a service everyone needed. What I didn’t take into account was the absolute abuse ...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

People started loads of these businesses in the UK over lockdown. Charging reasonable rates probably due to being topped up with Furlough.

I don't enjoy flatpack that much though haha.

... It is a long reach to the clip-on bars with no easy way to adjust them, my sprint tilts my whole body forward so it's a short reach despite being a similar seat-to-grips distance.. So, I put a deposit and signed paperwork on a F900XR they had only rolled onto the showroom floor this morning. ...

... (but less power) than the Sprint but it wont have anywhere near the character of an MV triple. I can see it having my 1 garage space, and being a bit slower than the Sprint will be a good thing, my riding has become a touch lazy in the corners. Oh yeah just one other gripe, the standard seat is very firm and ok for an hour or so, after that it's just no good and not being a full on adv riding position standing on the pegs feels a bit awkward. Re: Getting the Mrs on the Back

... of a bike, but a long time so. She wasn't really a fan, but was enticed with the promise of only going out when it was warm and dry, plus the ride being accompanied by a pub lunch in a lovely little village. We stopped going out together when the kids arrived. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

As long as they're not having a #@π¢ while they watch, because that would DEFINITELY be more awkward. (tmi)

Re: The new improved fitness thread

The gym was packed last night. They've only got 2 squat racks and one Smith machine. I was lucky enough to get some back squats in on a rack but there were people waiting. I really don't like being watched when I'm exercising.

Re: What are you doing today ??

It's a good question. My mom never worked... a job that is - my parents had agreed between one-another that being a housewife, raising kids, etc. was a job in & of itself.... except for a brief period when they were saving to buy their house. But they had a different set ...

Re: Ducati Streetfighter V4S demo ride

Current mapping on the latest big bikes is definitely written to make them safer.

I could feel the engine being held back a little sometimes when the throttle is opened wide, as I can on my Multi. In terms of power and speed there is no doubt we have probably already peaked.

Ducati Streetfighter V4S demo ride

... high but that V4 engine is a peach. Lots of low down traction but a screaming top end too. Started off in Street mode. You can feel the engine being held back a little, then switched to Sport which was better but a bit twitchy from a closed throttle and then to Race mode which was the smoothest ...

Re: Vinales suspended by Yamaha

And Vinales contract now terminated by Yamaha.

In all honesty i cant see either Cal or Dixon being competitive. They need to be trying out new upcoming riders here.

Re: What do you want to praise today?

EMRA , at the last meeting there were some delays ( No fault of the club or circuit ) which resulted in the final race of the day being cut very short , the club have refunded all the riders on the grid £50 , they didn't have to do that and it was a CB500 race so a full grid .
