I would give it a go( not on a bridge though).
There is no way you could ride at that speed without being totally out of the windblast so doubt you would appreciate the actual speed you were going.

My money is on Ducati or Aprilia being first. Japanese companies are rarely the first at these things as profit is their ultimate goal. They seem better at evolution and refinement though Honda were very good at innovation at one time.

For me it's when the bike becomes 'alive'... on my ZX6R that's between 10-16k and being hard on the brakes, whereas on an SV650 it's between 4-9k. Because of this the ZX6R is 'characterless' at a sedate pace whereas the SV is a much more enjoyable bike more of the time
