10k in 56 mins yesterday, 5 mile recovery run tonight.

Started finding some real pace now. I can hold a 5:15/km pace for 3-4 km on the flat.

One more 5 mile run on Thursday before the half on Sunday.

Fitted the standard exhaust back on ready for noise testing. I may or may not have then rode all the way out into Wales before I realised I had forgotten to refit my number plate. Strange how enjoyable the ride back was!

I don't doubt Brookes talent, I just don't like him, fwiw I think Michael Dunlop has got it fixed in his mind he will die racing and he needs to win as much as he can before it happens, hence his 101% commitment and why his riding is a bit ragged at times. Just my opinion btw.

... there are 4 year old bikes with between 2000 and 5000 on the clock so personally unless it's a keeper like Dukes 748 I would always offload a bike before 20k and never consider buying one unless they were absolutely giving it away. I tried "Power Cleans" on Thursday. Never done it before but the programme I'm doing called for 5 sets of 3 reps. 40kg - no probs 50kg - likewise 60kg - ok, bit more effort required 60kg - think i got this 70kg - 2 reps. Couldn't get the other ...
