Re: What are you doing today ??
We'll see... You never really know, do you? I remember Ducati owners swearing blind that the Panigale would sweep all before it, that hasn't worked out so well. Needs the bike and the rider to be totally in sync and have all the luck to win a title. The 2009 I tested came 2nd of all ...

I think today could be the day I take a look at my swingarm and finish my brakes, or at least get the pistons out of the calipers (I forgot to pump them out before removing the brake fluid !!!

Re: Feeling very proud
Good solid degrees that benefit society should be free for all with a grant, 30k of dept before you even start work is just fecking ridiculous. It just handicaps the poor and those very important degrees like teaching and nursing that don't lead to high paying jobs. ...

£9,000 a year though. So you leave university with at least £27,000 debt before you start working.

Re: Chain mileage
My ER6 did 16k before I changed them. The R1 was done at 9,500 (but it was 5.5 years old at the time). I think the VFR800 was at about 13.5 when it was done. And the Varadero had one last year at 17.5. I wasn't aware that there was ...

Chain mileage
... on the SX forum that getting 15,000 from a chain on a 1 liter bike I ride in winter is evidence I don't ride my bike correctly. I give it 3 days before I'm banned. no mechanical sympathy for your ride eh I'm surprised (NOT! :008:) as that explains why you don't get many miles out of your chain ...

... see how it affects longevity. I cant say too much yet as only did 30 miles of commuting and I also I need to give the bike a bit of a going over before pushing too much. Relube the chain. etc. I cleaned up the brakes a little whilst they were off but pads are low so could do with replacements. ...

Re: Car Salesman
I find some bike dealers have a similar disinterested attitude. You get a lot of "oh it's fine, it'll be fixed before or goes out." FFS the bikes fork seals are chewed to bits and it's pissing oil down the legs. Do you really not understand how that might put me off?

Re: New hoops. Metzeler Roadtec 01 Review
I got 3,400 from the M5 rear on my SX. That was a 55 profile.
I'm hoping to get a bit more from the Z8s but I've only used them on cold and wet roads so they're more likely to square off before I run out of rubber.

I've done weights at the gym before work 4 times and done 2 bag sessions as well. Starting to get back into this fitness lark.

The police unfortunately have to play by rules, the Chav didn't. 30 yrs ago he would've been collared by any means necessary and given a towel up before booking.Kwacky wrote:The police have got to be embarrassed though, they let him escape.
