Brake cleaners was to hand and sprayed on straight away and the pads were out in less than 2 minutes flat before getting a good clean. ...

I'll take a look at the rear at the end of the month and decide if I need to change it before France, but that's got a lot of tread left in it.

I've got carbon ones on the zx6r which work IMO.

... the front callipers, new pads, replace brake fluid, Scrap chain and replace, new sprockets. Well i got this done today, I've never changed a chain before, I've always taken it somewhere. What a ball ache putting the new chain together - those fiddly o rings wouldn't stay still while i lined up ...
