Re: The Isle of Man TT thread

Gary Johnson has broken his collar bone. Shame after his win yesterday I was gutted for him as I really like him and he is a top top bloke. Went out of his way at the classic TT last year to spend some time with my kids and make them feel special. ...

First gen daytona 675 quickshifter

... Australian BEARS F2 championship but it's missing one thing - a quickshifter. Obviously the OEM one doesn't fit the first generation bikes so I'm after a stand alone unit and don't want to piggyback another system (like a PC3). I have heard of failures in strain gauge types with friends breaking ...

Good ideas Spudda, but he's after £100 for that tank which is taking the piss given the state of it. I can get a brand new one for £250.

Re: Daytona 600 coolant leak.

There's a bleed nipple on the water pump by your left foot, but I normally take the bottom hose off. (same side)

Make sure you close nipple up properly after you've filled it. I've forgotten to do that twice and got a very wet left foot!

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??

Yep. Apparently all they did was drill a hole in the master cylinder and install a bleed nipple. Not really a fix.

The only fix was to move the master away from the engine. Actually that reminds me, it could be the brake line as that got scorched against the exhaust after I fitted the rear sets.

Re: Is biking in the blood?

My daughter, after seeing hundrerds of bikes turn up for a meet at our local shop before their Ride of Respect today, has now asked if she can go on the back. :S
I told her that she has to be able to reach the footpegs with both feet, thinking that she'd be miles off.

Nope!
