Re: The new improved fitness thread

Supposed to be an 11 mile trail run this morning but bailed after 5 1/2, really just not feeling it today.

The new watch says I need 31 hours to recover from the run, which is handy as my next run is tomorrow night. Hope I'm back on form again !

Shopping list advice

... much knowledge of chains as I’ve got. Advice on makes is welcomed, and I’ve no idea about the difference between 520 and 525 or anything. I’m not after any change in teeth, I think. Maybe. Unless anyone can convince me otherwise? Brake lines – I’m torn on these. Trying to minimise the amount of ...

Re: Vulcanet Cleaner

Sounds like it should do a good job after a blat around the country roads for a couple of hours. I wouldn't see any problem with that, beats giving it a full clean after a ride where water could just sit.

After about 2 hours sleep in the hottest room ever we're spending the day at Thorpe Park.

I give it until midday before the over tired kids start arguing and us parents want to go home.

I can't see HWM on the sidewall. It does show 75W after the tyre size if this helps.

I've started using them again after about 10 years off, but only because they came "free" with the helmet. I'd still say the foggy mask things work better, cost a lot less and make you look like a ninja! Plus you don't need one ...

Re: Cars you would like to drive

I used to be a car nut when younger and always lusted after Porsches. I still have yet to drive one. Being so far away from Europe the prices here for BMW's, Porsches, Alfa's etc is a bit ridiculous. As I've got older cars have totally lost their appeal ...

I'm very lucky enough to own mine - Jaguar F-Type 8) Even after two years of ownership I love it.

If i did want something else - it would probably be a Lamborghini Aventador or a Lexus LFA tbh.

Someone on TDR was selling a near new set of Oxford tank bag and tail pack with the rainproof covers for £40 plus postage. I wasn't really after any luggage but at that price I couldn't turn it down.

He'll love it, wish my dad had done that for me. I'd bought a selection of tools before I joined the Airforce and while away they went missing. I found out after I'd re-stocked it was the old fella that had scored them :(
