Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

Interesting piece here by a former UK truck driver. Jim Titheridge September 17 2021 So, you are running out of food on the shelves, fuel in the garages, you can’t buy things you need, because the shops can’t get their supplies. Why is that? A shortage of goods? No A shortage of money? No A shortage...

Re: Fuel prices

Too many sad acts in this Country.

They will probably be the same people berating immigrants, who have nothing at all, trying to come to the UK for a better life.

Re: What you watching?

Watched The Lord of Misrule about the career of Rik Mayall. Very interesting and sadly missed.

It was followed by a programme about the Secret Policeman’s Ball comedy shows from the 80s. Also very good.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

Apparently the panic over the lack of CO2 is nothing to do with drinks. 14 of our nuclear power stations are cooled by the stuff. Sounds like something that really wasn't thought through.; Nuclear power plants that rely on a ready availability of natural gas. (facepalm) Its the same idiot also curr...

Re: If your energy supplier goes bust....

Ahh just found the asnwer.

If you are in credit, your money is protected and you'll be paid back. If you were in debt to the old supplier, you'll still have to pay the money back to your new supplier instead

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

The sooner everyone sees how inept this Government is the better.

They are doing untold damage to our future and any place we had in the World.

I suspect it will need people to be hit hard in the pocket first tho.

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

Apparently the energy crisis is likely to last for many months to come.

One of the major suppliers doubted there would even be 10 companies left at the end of it. 70 currently.

And the Governments answer? Lend them some money :D

Ken Clarke
@MrKennethClarke

I’ve just bumped into Dominic Raab in central lobby so I smiled and said “good morning former Foreign Secretary”.

“Oh f**k off Ken!” He replied.

Still not over it then.

Re: Coronavirus - hype or pandemlc?

Rumours are that those who have not been vaccinated might have to quarantine for 10 days after visiting abroad, regardless of where they have been.
