The size of the world population isn’t the issue but it’s the way a percentage of that population consumes.

The underwater 'kites' generating electricity as they move https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-59401199

Very clever stuff. But simple too.

Too many people and companies with a vested interest in nothing changing on a vast scale like this innovation, sadly.

Re: The electric car revolution

We're surrounded by energy, we're literally made from it. The problem is who owns it and how do they charge you for it? There are countless examples of oil companies buying up patents on anything that can disrupt their market. Check out the Phoebus Cartel from the early 1900s. All the major light b...

Re: The electric car revolution

It doesn’t create any emissions either. Isn’t the ICE a very poor use of energy in efficiency terms? Not studied any of this stuff for 40 years or so, so what was known them doesn’t compare to the current world, which also leads to the point that our way of travel in future generations will likely b...

Re: The electric car revolution

People used to carry petrol cans in the car on long journeys, now they don't have to because the infrastructure matured. The way we travel is going to have to change dramatically in the coming years. Regardless of electric cars, oil has a limited lifespan anyway as its not a renewable source and we...

Re: The electric car revolution

Personal vehicles will not be the main mode of transport in 25 years time. I’m pretty certain that is the plan of those in charge.

Re: Triumph EICMA Show

Tiger Sport 660 looks a decent bike but I still think it should have had the 765 engine. 80bhp sounds a bit on the light side for a Touring bike. It's only an issue when your mates on 160bhp start hitting warp speeds (lol) New Verysys 650 announced this week at EICMA. https://mcn-images.bauersecure...

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

I see France have said Patel is no longer welcome after Boris made public his demands :D

I guess we could put her in a dinghy and see if she makes it across?

Re: The Daily Post Election Politics Thread

As if 24,000 people make any noticeable negative difference to anything in the Country. Other than perhaps the positive aspect of doing jobs that too many lazy Brits believe is beneath them.

MV aren't sure they want their name on that bike. Turns out it's been made in China.

The 9.5 has MV badges on it. The 5.5 doesn't.

That sounds a bit strange to me.

Sounds like Chinese money might be backing the Company if thats the case.
