Re: Not bad figures for an electric

I think those Tesla cars do 0-60 in about 3 seconds. I'd love a tesla. I'd even sit for an hour every 300 miles to charge the damn thing. They are bringing out a new cheaper version soon, but still so damn expensive. Problem is if everyone had them the grid couldn't cope. But that would involve for...

Re: Not bad figures for an electric

.... Diesel is now evil in political circles and give it a few years no one will want them.. Thing is, aren't road vehicles are just a small portion of the diesel engine applications ? Most ocean going transport, trains, hell even some electrical generation is diesel powered (which would make havin...

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January

A lot of work. You'd be better buying a street and trying to fit the fairings. Isn't the chassis of the old street / daytona and the new street almost the same apart from geometry?

At least the stickers wont need changing, just swop the numbers around :D

Re: Not bad figures for an electric

I wont buy another diesel when the family wagon decides to die. Diesel is now evil in political circles and give it a few years no one will want them imo.

Plus they are getting more and more complex to cover the crap they shove out the back.

I'll stick to large supercharged petrol engines :)

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January

I'm tempted to pop down to my local triumph dealer (when it's open) and see what 675 stock they have. There will be some mega deals on the old one if the new one is so good. The new base model is £8k s they can't charge anymore than that IMO. They're doing the blinged up 675 anniversary models for ...

Re: New Street Triple coming - 10th January

I've not read a bad review yet. I am very tempted by the middle of the range one. It's a good price and it sounds like a cracking road bike. I'm not sure I need the extras you get with the RS model and I prefer the colour schemes on the R. Buy one - then i can try it before i buy one :D My choice w...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

I'm now trying to find out who actually is my buyers solicitor as they plus the buyer are on the borderline of being told to fook off and stop wasting my time. We agreed to Exchange Contracts in 4 weeks it's now been 10 weeks and the honest truth is nothing has happened other than excuses for the l...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Home alone trying to calm my nerves and clear all the claret up of the kitchen floor. Went down the shops and got the missus some flowers this morning. When I got home I was in a mad rush and stupidly when cutting the end of the stems with some heavy duty scissors I hacked a big chunk of my little ...

Re: Batteries

I've also always bought Yuasa, but i've had 2 batteries go in the same amount of years.

I've just bought a Varta to give that a go. Cheaper too - hopefully not for a reason..

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Sadly I'm not that well paid. The type of work I do means we're screwed by the Insurance companies on how much we can charge. Our client's get charged about £125 an hour while our opponents are claiming £400 Gosh thats a huge difference. Who are the opponents? I thought it was usually insurance com...

Re: What do you want to vent about today?

Money is low down on my list of priorities. I spend enough time out of the house as it is, so when I'm at home I want to be doing stuff I want to do. I don't like DIY, I don't have the tools for DIY, I don't have the skill sets for DIY. In my opinion paying a skilled tradesman to do a job they've d...
