I wasn't going to change the cans, but a bloke on the SX forum put them up for sale. SP Engineering, £400 new, done 6,000 miles, no marks - £200 delivered to my door. I wasn't going to turn that down.

Yes, there is a tail tidy and the OEM is ugly, but with the number of unmarked police cars I pass I'm going to leave it as standard at the back.

I hate bike cleaning as well. I think I've spent 2 hours this afternoon cleaning the bike, swapping the cans, cleaning and lubing the chain.

Having washed the bike this afternoon all I can say is that the money has been well spent. Overall the bike is looking really good. There are a couple of small bolts low down which could do with replacing and some cheap metal parts around the rear wheel but otherwise the treatment has done its job h...

Washed the SX, topped up the ACF50 and swapped the cans over.

A long afternoon but worth it

Polishing the cans for the SX. might try and fit them this weekend.

Perkles removed the rear shock so I'll get that posted off this week. It's in good nick for a bike that's been ridden in all weathers.

Any chance of this dying a death so we can concentrate on the new season?
