Re: Me and Alex at Donny

To be honest I was surprised at his level of interest. He even stopped at the tyre truck and started asking about the different types of tyre.

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

I'll do you a deal. I'll buy the two new bikes and seeing as it was your idea, we'll do a wife swap for 3 months afterwards.

Then you can let me know if she was unreasonable or not (lol)

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

Are you replacing the sx and zx6r ???? Dunno. I am getting another bike. I have no idea what I'm getting but the current plan is to keep the SX and to buy something for the weekend. I want to see what is going to be on offer for 2017 and whether that means there are some 2016 bargains to be had. If...

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

The Metzler site lists the K3, the Racetec and the M7rr as suitable for your bike. It does flag the first two as being crap in the wet.

Like you say, it depends on what you're doing with the bike. I wouldn't want to try the Z8s on the track.

Put them on yours and I'll happily oblige ;)

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

(facepalm) I can't win. A quick google finds 1299, 1199, R1, S1000rr, Fireblade and Gixer Thou forums all talking about them. S1000rr riders are getting between 3,000 to 5,000 from a rear I don't think the M7rr is the tyre to use on the track if you were running in the fast group this week and your ...

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

But if you've found a tyre you like and works for you, why change? Confidence is massive and if you (that's a generic you, not a Blade you) swap a tyre to a new brand and you're 100% sure before you use them, it's an uphill battle to get your head back to that level IMO

Re: Wales ride 24/25th Sept

Do you expect someone like Metzeler to produce a tyre that can't cope with a modern sportsbike? Are you a member of PB Mag forum? Loads of people are using them on there. These are all from people on 1000cc bikes or more:- .I've gotM7RR 's currently on the k6 1000, they're fantastic tyres, warm up v...
