MP wants to scrap Welsh circuit idea
Welsh MP wants the new proposed circuit of Wales circuit scrapped. I would have thought that once built and up and running it would be a good source of bringing money and investment into the area. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-39141355" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

This sends out all the wrong messages
Makes a complete mockery of the legal process in this country. What sort of message does this send out? (as if we don't know the answer already) http://www.itv.com/news/2017-02-23/motorist-with-62-licence-points-among-thousands-of-12-plus-points-offenders-still-allowed-to-drive/" onclick="...

Re: Off to the Isle of Wight
It was all fine.
Return crossing was a bit bouncy
and few passengers looked a bit green around the gills
Just adds a bit of fun to the ride IMO
The bomb issue in Portsmouth was not even an issue for the Southampton crossings

Good job you were not earlier - there was an unexploded bomb they found in portsmouth harbour yesterday. All ferries cancelled apparently. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/our-region/portsmouth/update-ferries-and-trains-resume-and-roads-reopen-after-bomb-is-towed-out-of-portsmouth-harbour-1-7832966"...

Off to the Isle of Wight
Leaving for the Isle of Wight in a short while. I have a couple of meetings after lunch and then I am guest speaker at the Isle of Wight advanced group tonight before catching the 10.30pm Red Jet back to the mainland tonight. Even 80 miles inland I can feel the wind picking up and the forcast is get...

Re: Benefit of having a dash cam
I think I'm going to have to invest in one. There have been a lot of reports of this sort of shit happening around Telford. I have one which I use for work when I want to video a particular piece of road as it is often easier to video and show the footage rather than try and describe and explain. A...

Re: Charity event - 19th March - Westerham in Kent
Kent is a bit far for most of us. I'm happy to pimp details though on Facebook and Twitter Is there a website or a way of making donations? I hear what you are saying regarding distance, hence the reason I said "If you happen to be in the area" or looking for somewhere to go. But thank yo...

I find it incredible that the Republic of Ireland is only now considering making drink driving a mandatory disqualification

You would think that being in the public eye he of all people would be a little more considerate.

Re: Caught 14 times by the same camera in 2 months
General question what warrant's the title professional driver ???? Lead's me to the next point. If Taxi drivers are not assessed / trained to a higher standard should they be ? They are often responsible for our safety at the end of the day. In answer to your first point, as you say anyone who is e...

Re: I hope this is just a wind up
I only get involved when drivers or workers are killed or seriously mashed up ;) I am pretty much the same. Badly mashed motorcyclists is mainly when I get called in, but occasionally I am asked to help out other forms of road user as well. Off down to Kent tomorrow to investigate a catastrophic in...

Besides, think positive TC.: It will see at last see an end to the "haven't you got any proper criminals to go after" line we hear quoted to every traffic cop on every stop they ever make. (nod) Well I am biased having spent 25 years as a traffic cop. But that apart, the level of professi...

I am convinced that very soon we will be regarded as a third world nation in terms of road safety and enforcement.
