Re: Baby Cav

There's a lot to update but the latest is that mum is discharged and Baby is in NICU for ongoing monitoring of infection, jaundice and temperature. We are staying in with him but due to leave tomorrow after his last dose of antibiotics.

Re: What ails you today?

Time.

So much to do and so little time. I'm looking after myself better today but the day is flying. I'm loving every minute of looking after my Wife and Baby.

I popped home while Bampy visited. An hour has passed and I'm only just getting dinner before I need to relieve him of his duty

Re: Snow foam

I use my car stuff. It's called Bubbly Jubbly by Envy Car Care. Clings for a long time and actually does good cleaning too. If you buy it, get yourself a 1L bottle of Evolution (wheel cleaner). This stuff is insanely good and will last you years. My bottle is a year old and I'm about a quarter throu...

Baby Cav

I'm extremely pleased to announce the birth of my first child... a boy! We don't have a name for them yet. Baby weighed a lovely 8lb 13. My Wife was brilliant although, since her waters broke this morning, it was clear to me that something wasn't quite right as she never got a full rest between cont...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Waters broke this morning. In maternity ward now just having a check. If all is good we will go home to sleep and labour at home. We'll get invited back for an induction tomorrow morning due to infection risk.

Re: What are you doing today ??

Nahh a long way to go yet. Needs to be at least 3 intense contractions every 10 minutes for an hour before we go in. I anticipate getting woken up in the night tonight.

Re: What are you doing today ??

That's brilliant!

I'll save that one for after baby is here.. her contractions are 3-8 minutes now and occasionally very sharp. Things are ticking along lovely

Re: What are you doing today ??

2am Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk Wrong :D The Wife has had contractions throughout the night but it's 9am and she's still sleeping. I managed about 5 hours this morning. At about 3am the Wife heard a bang and smelled burning. I shot out of bed and established the Dish Washer has packed...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Reduced movements with baby again today so came in for a check and all is very good. Mrs Cav is getting contractions every 10 minutes and baby is moving lots immediately before each one. Baby movements trigger contractions which is why stretch and sweeps are so good as they agitate baby causing move...

Re: Litelok

It's useful if you've stopped at the shops. The core moto one worries me because that type of mechanism can't withstand much separation force. Essentially if they can start the bike and accelerate at speed it will likely fail. I'd definitely suggest watching some of LPLs videos though.. he's a genius

Re: Litelok

They are incredibly easy to cut BUT they've very portable. I'd use it when out and about but I wouldn't want it as my main protection

Re: What are you doing today ??

I'm on amber alert for the Wife this morning. She had a stretch and sweep by the Midwife yesterday and is at 2cm dilated, she's lost more plug last night and this morning and has an "icky tummy".... also known as contractions. I'm in the office just for half a day anyway so heading home in...

Re: The cycling thread

I got out on the bike before work yesterday and got to see some lovely scenery. I also saw a Red Kite... they're making a bit of a return to Gloucestershire at the moment. Annoyingly, multiple parts of the Severn Way were either blocked, closed or over grown. Screenshot_20210610-081211_Gallery.jpg S...

Re: What ails you today?

Compartmentalising is supposed to be beneficial. I've done that for the big events in my life. It was pointed out to me that you need to "move forward" and not "move on".. essentially it's about taming the Lion to walk by your side rather than pretend the Lion isn't there and get...
