Re: Ear Plugs
I use the green Howard Leight max lite, not too expensive if you have room on the shelf for a box of them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400-SOFT-FOAM-EAR-PLUGS-200-PAIRS-OF-HOWARD-LEIGHT-MAX-LITE-SNR-35dB-EARPLUGS-/182023948176?epid=1405060113&hash=item2a61790790:g:ibsAAOSwQYZWwNEt" onclick=&q...

Re: Stonesie's MT-10 thread
It's a different bike in almost every way. MT-10 Pro's Faster More comfortable for me Lighter, more agile More fun The sound Cruise Control Yamaha reliability and service costs, a local independent just did the 12 month service and throttle balance for £110 with Motul 300V oil and a genuine Yam filt...

You have a superduke with Akras, this will be quiet in comparison (Possibly)

Re: Stonesie's MT-10 thread
I kinda miss the Mutly, I called it a big daft Labrador, big, playful, quite fast and cornered quite well with a decent bark to it. On to today, I had an after work tinker session and fitted the AIS blockoffs and LV exhaust but it was getting on before I finished so it hasn't been started yet. I too...

Re: Stonesie's MT-10 thread
Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome bike when it wasn't playing up, sport mode with the rear preload wound up was amazing.
Sadly the bike had been custom mapped to the Leo so it had to stay on there.

Is the standard exhaust not a 1 piece design on those? You might have to get busy with the angle grinder.

Re: Stonesie's MT-10 thread
Its really good, doesnt seem to affect the handling at all and the rack comes off with just 4 bolts and lock nuts.. The little tank bag is a permanent feature though, no storage space at all under the seat on this bike.

Re: Cookie's Street Triple 765 R
I was just googling exhaust pics and found this... https://www.testmotor.nl/images/stories/getest/2017/Triumph/Test_2017_Triumph_Street_Triple_power_torque_curves.jpg Looks like the R is the best of the bunch until you get it above 10K, and honestly I didn't take my '13 STR that high very often. You...

Re: Stonesie's MT-10 thread
First mod was naturally to let the crossplane motor sing the song of it's people but being skint a Delkevic was chosen. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/923/HjPMlN.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/922/LIs1UM.jpg I can't really capture the sound properly but out on the road ...

Stonesie's MT-10 thread
First a little history since i was regularly on here before, back when I had a yellow Daytona 650 http://imageshack.com/a/img836/1354/dscf0488a.jpg That got me into trouble as being a sports bike it was only fun when it was screaming (speed and engine) so it got traded in, I still see it occasionall...

Re: Cavetrolls MT09 thread
Fantastic bike once you sort the suspension, the improved composure of the STR is why my money went that way but I did enjoy the grunt of the 09, how many power wheelies have you had so far
It sounds like you have a good To-Do list so far, Welcome to the Naked side,

One of the things that helped me the most when I was a new rider was a bike safe day with the local police so that's my suggestion.

Re: 2017 Versys 650 Grand Tourer - ongoing review
Im running roadtec 01's on the MT-10 and love them, better than the standard Bridgestone S20 and lasting way longer, 2k miles and barely any visible wear with all that power chewing the rear.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Checked the oil, she's about 1/8" over minimum at over 1K since I last topped it up to just under max, so to say it get's some high rev action it's not bad really, Aprox 100cc per thousand miles. Didn't top up as it's service time tomorrow, 12 month service with throttle balance and Motul 300V ...
