Re: What are you doing today ??
I enjoyed my last day off by lounging about until it stopped raining then pulled the bike out for a much needed wash/polish and chain clean/lube, also the bike had got a bit of chain noise and throttle snatch so I checked the tension, 54mm, the spec is 20-30 (blush) Also I topped the oil up to about...

Re: The sound of the new Ducati V4 superbike?
I very rarely use full power for more than a moment on the MT, the Isle of Man was the first time I've really stretched it's legs so an extra 40 with even less weight doesn't tempt me, I managed tho get a court appearance with 115bhp on a Daytona 650... I'm not overly fond of the looks either but th...

Re: SP Quickshifters
If you are lucky enough to have ride by wire then a bilpper/shifter is cheap (£408 for mine compared to about £250 for the Yamaha shifter).
I still like to blip it myself when I'm just cruising around, the harder I ride the more sense it makes.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Been to the gym, washed the RST's in Nickwax again, ran an errand for my mum and now banging my head against a brick wall... Errm, I mean sorting the bike insurance. Wish me luck. My current insurer was cool with all the "planned" mods (angel) until Re-map, Hastings really don't like that ...

A ride out to Wakefield to meet a friend then on over to Caton to meet some others before a good ride through the back roads past Ribble head viaduct to Hawes for dinner, then home again through the edge of Leeds. https://scontent.flhr4-2.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/21743179_1690141701019484_322162820739...

Back to PC world today, mum saw my shiny new laptop and decided she wanted a tablet, picked out a nice asus one and the thing won't connect to the wifi. Apparently fully charging the battery will fix it but i'm not so sure, can only try it before anything else. Edit Silly bugger here had the passwor...

Today some plans fell through then the laptop crapped the bed so £400 later I have a new one of those, holy hell it's fast.
Also did my first gym session in over a week, it hurt a bit but that's what i get for being lazy.

Wurth dry for me too, i put a good dose on before the Isle of Man and did most of the 400+ miles in rain/wet conditions so i was wondering how it would hold up, i got zero fling and zero chain rust.
Applied well and left to dry it works well.

Re: Wife Swap - tankslap style
I had Z8's on my STR and they were a great tyre on that, also a big part of the reason I put Roadtec 01's on the MT, the standard Bridgestone S20's were done after 2.5K miles, these 01's have done 3K and some dyno time so far and look good for the same again. They have slowed the steering a touch bu...

In no particular order.. The Superduke 990 This bike has a reputation as a bit of a bucking bronco but D6Nutz has had his re-mapped resulting in a responsive but smooth throttle connection which is just how I like it. The suspension worked well with the M7 tyres and the unusual (to me) riding positi...
