Yes to be fair is very rewarding feeling after you've done it for the first time. My front wheel felt perfect riding back to London. Am gob smacked. Definitely pays for itself after a couple fittings.. And can now feel confident buy tyres online at bigger discount and not have to pay fitting fees. B...

Follow up .. That cheap bead breaker was useless.. Ready for the skip.. Need to spend on a decent one unfortunately. I used my knee on the front tyre and had to take rear to garage to break bead for me.. Looking at the abba one for 65 quid. But yet to see what recommendations are

What equipment and what method did you use Rickster? I'm also interested in how easy (seating problems aside) you found it and how much your gear cost? I'll post up photos mate. All in all very cheap considering the cost saving in long run in addition to gain some skills I guess. But in a nut shell...

Only put wd40 on bead and rim edge was a Bugger to put on

Hiya guys Just changed and balanced my front tyre on the tiger 800xc However after inflating it it never gave a sound of POP that Would be seating of the bead.. Checked the tyre both sides and spun it on the balancer and all looks true and seated from inspecting he walls... Is this possibly safe or ...

Any thoughts on chain replacements and the cost difference between for example DID upgrade DID heavy duty DID Extreme There's about £50-£60 difference between the upgrade and extreme chain and sprocket sets For joe blogg who isn't racing or thrashing everyday.. Hello mate. I pretty much cover my bike with the stuff apart from brakes! Yes keep well away from brakes as this stuff is really good at making them not work :) after having found out I had overspray :) Best stuff ever for or venting corrosion but does leave a slight greasy type film. I lock wired my r1 grips and to be honest using them lock wire pliers is an art ... Lol I did a better job the old fashion method ie using normal long nose pliers...
