Re: The camera thread....

Entirely capable entry level DSLR, and I have a bias forward Nikons for no logical reason other than my first SLR camera was one (back in film days). But it's a system camera. So to get the versatility you would get from the camera Jack recommended or similar from the D3300 you'd have to spend a fai...

Re: The camera thread....

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ330 Digital Camera about 450 quid but has a great range and should be good for everything you need . I started typing up my reply and came back to it an hour later so didn't see this. But Jacks suggestion is spot on from what I can see (and I wouldn't expect anything else from...

Re: The camera thread....

So if I'm looking to move up from taking snaps with my phone, what do people recommend? I don't want anything too expensive or heavy. I need something easy to use but a camera that won't bore me once I've got the basics sorted. Nothing special in terms of what I'm shooting. I do like taking land sc...

Re: Pokemon Go

Went nuts in Darwin. Was 15,000 XP into level 21 and by the end of the day levelled up to 22 (75,000 XP) 5 more to the pokedex which pushed me over the ton to 103. Used lucky eggs all day and an incense. Also bought 100 balls and even though I hit every pokestop I could find I am out of balls comple...

Re: What are you doing today ??

Sitting in the Qantas lounge, didn't think to check my flight, it's always the same time, except it's not today! So my driver picked me up at the normal 5.30am and I now have 2.5hrs to kill in the lounge as my flight is 90 mins later than normal

Family brand? Don't see many panigales off down the shops with a family on them doing the groceries.

I think Candice is smack bang in the demographics for Ducati owners imo!

Re: Commuters

Do helicopter rides get boring?? Very. A book is a must. If I'm lucky I'll snooze for a good portition. Except one ride we had, low cloud and we were running late to met the flight out of Timor to Darwin, so as we were flying over the mountain range the pilot had it below the peaks in the valleys g...

Re: Commuters

I commuted 3-4 hrs to the refinery and back (depending on traffic issues) per day. But I figured it was a 4 on 6 off roster so averaged out. Until our shutdown when i did that for 6 months, 5-6 days a week. Now I commute for a day and a half to work and a day home. (2 hr taxi ride, 2 plane flights t...
