Re: What are you doing today ??

Been slack with catching up on the forum and just read the big plan Rossgo! Sounds like you have put in a lot of effort and I’m sure it will be a great evening!

She must be a real catch cause you sound like a right picky barstard! (lol)

Good luck buddy (y)

Re: What are you doing today ??

Do you take salt tabs? Got chatting to an African engineer a while back and they make their own drinks for the day with salt and glucose before they go to work. We have electrolyte stations inside the accommodation, recommended to have a 200ml glass per every 2-3L of water. I generally have 1-2 a d...

Re: What are you doing today ??

I work in a high humidity environment, generally 75-95%. The temps rarely get over 35 deg. But I still much prefer that to 45 deg dry heat. But you are right, you have to seriously watch your hydration in humidity, I generally drink 4-5L a day offshore, and still find myself getting a tad dehydrated.

40 and above does get pretty ridiculous. I used to push bike 14km to work when I was still working on aircraft, and ridden in 42-43 deg heat. It is just like breathing fire.

Re: What are you doing today ??

Drove for 7 hrs from home to Coffs Harbour. Only a 3.5 hr hitch tomorrow to make Surfers Paradise. Kids where remarkably good.

At home had the highest temps since records began. 46.3 deg C. Good day to head away! Though it didn’t get below 30 deg last night.

Re: What are you doing today ??

I will admit I prefer the commute I do now compared to the 3 hrs a day I did to the refinery. And a sKwacky pointed out I don’t have to do it often. Even if I’d come off days it would be so bad, but after three weeks of night shift and going so long without sleep this doesn’t feel like much fun.
