Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Farking cheeky power company c**ts They are changing out meters to smart meters, that part I was ok with. They did mine 3 days before the end of a 3 month billing cycle. Luckily I got Jess to take photos of the reads that morning. They pulled the old meters out and then when my bill arrived they had...

Re: Mr Postman
That's a nice position to be in. I'm riding our the current mortgage crisis and paying for my daughter to go to university. This year is her last so I'll be ok from June next year. The next few months are going to be rough but I've got a home, clothes and food in my belly. Sadly there's far too man...

Re: What are you doing today ??
being involved in dangerous talks.... (lol) A good mate at work has just bought a KTM 1290R Enduro and is planning on selling his very tidy low km KTM 690R enduro... He lives up in Qld and has suggested I fly up for a few days and take it out with him on the new bike for an offroad biking/camping tr...

Re: Another New Bike Day, Stonesie's GS
good fix Stonsie, but just a point to note. Aluminium against stainless steel or ferrous metals has a high risk of galvanic corrosion. It would pay to give your bushings a coat or two of paint to prevent any electrolysis occuring. Being on the bars there is a high chance of them getting wet and star...

Re: Another New Bike Day
Looks good mate!
Your bike, you have to be happy with it, and sounds like this suits you well.
There's a few guys out here at work with GS1200's and they rate them highly (and they aren't nobs either ) Though that thing looks a tad flasher than their models

OK, I've lost my bearings being on constant night shift.. I had fish and chips 2 days ago.. on friday (it's now sunday morning here)
I had a steak, wedges and beans last night in fact. All the days melt into one out here.

Destroyed a gearbox casing on a large isolation valve. The mechanical stop was mis-adjusted and wasn't very robust
Luckily the valve I was closing is never to be opened again, so some belzona instant metal mix and stop-aq weather seal tape sorted it out

Re: What you watching?
The waste of time that is F1 I made the mistake of watching it at Spa today as the track is ace and I’m on hols. What a mess. A boring expensive procession of politics. I stopped watching it regularly a while ago. I’d forgotten how bad it was. I watched the F2 race as it was on during my lunch brea...

Merrell Moab 3 Gortex hiking boots for myself and Jess. Runners just aren’t cutting it anymore. Were $300 but managed to get them for $170 pair on a flash sale at an adventure chain here in Aus. Bloody amazing boot tbh. No wearing in, just comfy from the get go. I’ve been doing an hour hike each mor...
