[FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY] Sometimes I do - when you have the right kit on which keeps you dry haha

Checked my rear last night and I'm very nearly on the centre wear indicators, in just over 2000 miles!

Blimey, that's about 1/3 of the mileage I was getting from them.

I would get your suspension sorted.

These get a glowing report from Rutter. They were on the BMW S1000RR and the Gixxer Thou he rode for Performance Bikes on the Isle of Man TT course road test.

"...... I wasn't totally sure about using them, and I was worried on the first couple of corners. But I needn't have been. They were simply brilliant. ......... It's all predictable, controllable and actually enjoyable. They're really stable too and never stopped providing feedback. I was really surprised at how good they were and how good a condition they were in afterwards."

And that was from cold. No tyre warmers.

He did an average speed of 121.9 mph on them.

I'm surprised to hear that. Most people are getting good mileage from them.

I got 2900 miles out of the rear in the end, but it was bloody awful for the last couple of hundred miles. Probably should have changed it at about 2500.

Didn't stop me buying another one though, cracking tyres. Really get on with them.

You two need to be gentler with the throttle (lol)

Think it's maybe more to do with the fact that me and James live either in the middle of or on the edge of the Peaks. We don't actually spend any miles getting to "the roads".

Where as a lot of other rider's mileage is cruising to get to "the roads".

Which could also be the reason I'm only getting 24.81mpg!

Good points.

I'm currently averaging 56.8mpg on the Versys :D

I've got 2 thousand miles out of mine already possibly more but I don't know my mileage of my bike to be exact. They are doing very well and still have a fair bit of life in them!

I spend a lot of miles travelling to "the roads" but still end up getting between 17 and 25mpg haha.. Some of these roads are cruising at 80mph too including a 5 mile stretch of motorway.

No idea why my mileage is so bad (wasntme)... I bet Kwacky is none the wiser either having seen my very relaxed riding style (lol)

I'm going to get some more so far the best road tyre I have used. But they had a horrid drop off they did not feel great when I was in germany. And I'm not blaming them for my crash but I should have changed the rear at least and have a niggle it could have contributed to my crash.
