Note on the pics I posted, the guy who took them got some serious grief by the production company over these.

It's official. It also sounds like they've close to or have finished filming.

It'll be crap - IV & V were great....VI with the stupid teddy bears was utter shite....the last three were crap too, although the fight scene in I was very good.
They don't need those actors back....they had a good chemistry between them...but 40 years later??
Von Sydow is a good call....one of my very favorite actors....but even he is a bit old these days.
I vote for Bratty as a Jawa.

Re: Star Wars cast announced
Even worse are the old series....they haven't held up to the test of time too well. Then again, I was never a huge fan.
I liked Space 1999, but like any TV show, the content becomes formulaic.......UFO was a much under-rated show that got taken off the air because it dealt with such (for the 60's) controversial subjects.....things like divorce, infidelity, etc......well worth watching if you can find it.
Trivia point for the day.....George Lucas re-designed the Millenium Falcon after he saw the Eagles on Space 1999.....his ship looked too much like them.

I remember the UFO series quite well, I even had a model Interceptor that shot a missile, shame it was painted a lurid yellow metal flake for some reason though.
All the SF tv series are of their time, I can't think of one that still looks fresh today, so you have to take them for what what they are, after all if you ride an original Z1 Kawasaki you wouldn't say that it's nowhere near as good as your current Kwak, you make allowance for the age of it and don't laugh at its rubbish handling or brakes, look at old SF TV in the same way, just remember you can also never have the innocence of the age back that you originally watched them at either.

That's going back to my car collection thread.....I have some Hot Wheels "Redline" cars from 71 or so....me Mam ordered them from the US....most are worth $20-50 or so, but one of them I've seen on the bay for thousands.
And no, I didn't sell those......I kept some stuff.
