Ditto, some positive from that already. Hopefully more good news from the consultant.

The tumours in the adrenal glands have doubled in size
Everything else is stable
Couple of weeks of steroids and back on chemo
I don't know how much more of this I can manage

re-homed my parrot this evening , quite an emotional time I've had her for 12 years , she is only round the corner so I can go visit whenever I want .
I have done it more to give myself more freedom than because I was unable to care for her .

Back from my Xmas excursion being pampered by family , feeling much more ready mentally and a little bit better physically to take on the next chemotherapy treatment cycle . The treatment I am having next is CAV , I hope thats a good omen and that it works . Apparently one of the drugs will make my pee pink or red for a few days , that will be fun in the loo at the pub .....

It sounds like the time away has helped to recharge your batteries.

We don't need to see what colour piss turns to though. Thanks all the same :)

Glad to hear you are feeling more upbeat mate. Shame the weather was so rubbish in Devon apart from one day of glorious sunshine.

Fingers crossed the next stage of treatment is as easy on you as it can be.

Treatment has been delayed by a week as the hospital is at capacity, still losing weight so another course of steroids. Consultant was very concerned that I was aware of the dangers of the new treatment with my heart condition.

That sucks.. and why was a consultant concerned that you are aware? That sounds ominous!

Were you expecting that Jack? Precautionary or some concerns?

Best of luck mate! FWIW, I genuinely find MRI scans peaceful and soothing. I've fallen asleep in every one I've had. Hope the results are good.
