In other news, my front discs are warped.
They were slightly warped when I bought it but as confidence and speeds have increased its getting worse.

I'm thinking EBC vee discs with SBS HS pads.
On the Kawasaki forum there's lots of disc warping threads so the factory parts are not the best.

Don't you fancy ebc pads to go with the ebc discs?

The pads are much better these days, not as abrasive

I might see if I can get a deal on discs and pads all from EBC.
The bike has SBS HS pads already and I like the stopping power, not tried EBC HH pads for at least 6 years so it might be time.

I've got them on the versys. The pads have done well and there's loads of meat left on the OEM discs

In all honestly I would go with the Brembo Serie Oro. It's the OEM replacement disc which I have on mine and it tolerates the abuse I hammer into them on the racetrack. Mine have turned a bit blue after Portimao but they perform amazingly. They worked well on the road too!

I would also look at getting Brembo SC pads, they need a little heat but it's never ever a problem. Even riding around town they're fine. Otherwise look at SBS RS.

The Brembo discs were cheaper for me than EBC too.

I have Brembo SC pads and if you can get them on a deal there brillant pads, otherwise can be a little pricey.

SBS RS are a very good pad for half the money of Brembo SC.

I priced up the Brembo discs and pads but it came in at over £400, I got the EBC vee discs and HH pads for £295 with free postage so jumped on that deal.

It won't pass MOT in September with the current discs.

Very good deal! Any discs for my bike are over 400 on their own. I have expensive pads too so all in I paid £600 for discs and pads! I did pay £32 extra for 320mm though

Brembo do a 320mm upgrade for the sx but I really don't think I will use the extra stopping power, I don't plan to track day this bike although it is more than capable of novice group pace.

I went to braided hoses on mine. That was enough.

320mm will not be noticeable on the road.

Braided lines and pads are a very good mod. You would notice a master cylinder upgrade too but again, for the rias thats just a "nice to have" mod

Today I finished fitting the Rizoma Club S indicators to the SX, there was nothing wrong with the Oxford Nightriders but I didn't quite like them enough.

First I turned the wiring for the tail light into a Y lead using a waterproof connector from a kit I had laying around.



Then another Y lead to split the feeds off to both indicators using bullet connectors, I have a kit of those too.


The indicators came with about 3" of wire chopped off by a chimp, possibly why they were £65 the pair, not cheap as such but for Rizoma 3-in-1's that's less than the price of 1 new one. I bought some decent quality wire in the same colours and extended them.




All done, and bright as hell.

They found a home on my friends Z900 replacing the frankly shit bike-it ones, how those got E marked for the road I will never know.

Forgot to update on the discs, they vibrate at low speeds but a good google says that they do that until they are fully bedded in, apparently I need to finish the bedding in by giving them a good pasting and getting them really hot... I will get that done soon but Sunday looks like a washout on the forecast.

No one is going to miss those rizomas when they're on
