Looks like you get good foam coverage. Whos gun are you using as I ve been meaning to buy one for a while and looks an effective piece of kit .

The brass valve assembly and metal baffles to adjust the spray pattern seem to be a bit more robust than plastic ones, they make them to fit most pressure washers.

After yesterday's trip to Sports bike stop near Boston and Skegness for fish and chips, I gave it a wash, we found some nice dry roads on the way there and some heavy showers on the way back.



My neighbour has the Black SX, he gets more MPG then me with it being totally standard, mine is louder and faster, still does an easy 150 miles to a tank so that's good enough

Salty, the steel part of the supersprox sprocket has been scrubbed and wiped with ACF, still turns white.

The previous owner contacted me on Facebook and sent a couple of pictures of the bike, almost exactly how I would mod it, same screen, tank bag, crash protection etc. But he sold it all.
Ah well, more freedom for me to get it sorted the way I want it.

Also got some stainless bolts in the post yesterday, so I can remove the reflectors on the forks.

I need to stay off Ebay, just bought a tail tidy from a crashed Yamaha MT-10, that's mostly going in the F***-it bucket. But the LED indicators with built in resistors (Yamaha OEM, nice and bright Japanese quality) will be a nice addition and the mountings from the bent tail tidy should help me to fit them, All for £35 delivered.

The Tail tidy arrived and I managed to repair the broken indicator with a long self tapping screw.

The best fit seems to be to sandwich the main mounting plate between the number plate and tail tidy, they have both been checked and work properly so have now been cleaned and some Black stainless bolts ordered to replace the plastic number plate bolts. Another reason to pick these is that for some bizarre reason that I can't fathom, Yamaha fitted a resistor to each indicator rather than just fit an LED flasher relay, should make them an easy fit on the Kawaker.

Got it all fitted today, I was psyching myself up to take the entire back end apart, again, and had started stripping the haphazard insulation off the indicators, what? is that mains twin and earth?




So I cut that out and was left with about 50 mm of wire to work with, so I had a brainwave (or brain fart) and took the bulb out of the closest indicator, tuned it on and stuffed the wires into the bulb holder... Normal flash rate resumed with no additional resistor, awesome

The wiring on one of the indicators has been cut and spliced twice before, and I have a complete standard number plate hanger with indicators which have not had the wiring modified so I cut the bulb holder off and used the factory wiring.

The indicators had been modified to fit the holders for this tail tidy so I used it between the plate and my tail tidy which moved the indicators out and back, putting them well clear of the panniers. Wires were soldered, covered by heat shrink then covered again with the plastic tubing the indicators came with and the broken one which I found a longer screw for was also filled 1/2 way with gorilla glue.

I put a short version of this on Faceache in a Z1000sx owner's group and it descended in to an argument on weather it was stupid to cover a number plate in pictures. And do I cover it whenever I park the bike in a car park?

Stonsie after having 2 bikes nicked I now stay well away from posting any sort of bike pics on FB and the forum. You never know who is looking in. Protect yourself in my opinion because noone else will do it

Well all that thinking buying genuine Yamaha indicators would mean trouble free operation was wrong

One has turned red, still working but now the wrong colour. So I ordered a set of Oxford Nightrider, supposed to be quite bright and at 20% off.
130000 mcd, sounds bright anyway

If they're crap then I will just put the standard number plate hanger back on... Or spend some overtime money on a pair of Rizomas...

If you bought genuine and they've gone faulty haven't you got a right to claim for their replacement?

In Lumen they're 28-280 lumen so decent light, not blinding which is obviously a good thing. (I have to given a range because you need to know the apex angle of the light, that range is 30-90 degrees light projection)

They look good those Nightriders... looks like you can do the sweep function
