Waiting to find out if I'm going to be working from home tomorrow or not.

Welcome to your new job, now go home (lol)

Good timing on getting that job mate, snuck in by the skin of your teeth. Would be a lot harder finding a job atm.

Looks like I'm now a key worker. Our product is used in sewage and water works so we need to stay in the office. I believe many staff in site are non essential therefore it's going to be very quiet here.

They're creating letters for us to carry on us in case we get stopped.

My wife has been told to stop working with immediate effect. No idea if she's being furloughed or redundant.

Apparently I'm classed as a key worker, as are the rest of my team.
We are only responding to breakdowns now and not doing PPM work.
I have taken advantage of the sunshine to hoover out the remnants of the broken window on my work car
and then sort out my tools to make up a new kit, the other one got stolen when the window got put through.

My leave ran out yesterday, meaning that I'd have to come into work today.

Thankfully someone in the military has seen sense and told us to stay at home. Training is cancelled until at least May, but we are on standby in case we're needed for anything. A few hundred from here are on 5 days notice to move, I'm not one of those unlucky individuals so I guess I'm just waiting like everyone else.

My wife was worried yesterday that I'd get deployed, but now we have a bit more info she's calmed down.

I suppose the upside for me is that I'll still get paid regardless, which makes the possibility of having to deploy a little easier to swallow.
