Tip my hat to their customer service and after care.

The liner zip failed in my suit. I took it back to the dealer and although they said it was in great condition and like new as it was 4 years old they couldn't help.

I accepted their reasonable position, but me being me, I thought I would email Dainese in Italy and try my lucky.

A very helpful lady arranged collection of my suit free of charge to me. Two weeks later I get my suit back with a new liner and like new condition.

Great service which is rare today and worth praise imo.

Thank you Dainese (lol)

Smart. They stand behind their gear like that, and most people won't think twice about buying from them again.

The thing is a lot of people won't ask. The worst they can say is "no". Alpinestar did something similar with my gortex trousers.

It's always worth asking. Good service that.

I know Terry Birtles the MD of Moto-Direct and the importer of Dainese, Arai, AGV, Alpinstars and manufacturer of RST amongst others, very well.

They are also importers and distributors of a lot of pedal cycle PPE as well.

I know that Terry's mantra is that if you offer a good service, the customer will return and 2 x 50 pieces is better than 1 x £1 because it means they have spent twice with you and returned rather than just the once.

Terry is also one of the top men on the new EU standards of PPE that are being introduced and is also doing a lot of work to get the fake helmets off the market through the online platforms such as ebay.

If you get a chance to go to their head office in Nottingham, grab it with both hands, it is a real education when you see some of their R & D along with the little museum of helmets. Arai's and AGV's going back to the very beginning is a real eye opener when you see how things have changed and developed.

And then there is the collection of race bikes, from Fagarty's WSB championship bike, to a couple of YZR500 GP bikes, IoM winning bikes. It is mouth watering.

But back on topic, pleased thatyou are happy with the service, I will make sure that Terry is aware of your complimentary post.... :)

Talking of Dainese, the D Store in Manchester have had an attempted bike theft.

Cheers TC, and yes definitely pass on the praise as good customer service is always well received.

Sadly I'm not having the same experience with another retailer, who shall remain nameless for now (swear) . I paid for goods on a 4 -11 day lead time and 30 days in, I've not got my parts and their not answering the phone or my emails so god knows when I'll get my parts (gah)

I think when you receive good service defo shout it from the roof tops. They should be complimented for their customer service. When you pay for a product like this you're not just buying a product you are buying into the whole family of services and that's what will show you how good they really are. Clearly they will sort out issues in their products
