If the rumours are true about the last episode a lot of people are going to be pissed off.

I'm going to get up early Monday morning and watch it before work. I won't post any spoilers until it's been shown in the evening.

I cant get that excited as the writing has been very lazy frankly.

If Jamie Lannister survives i'll switch it off i think.

Yep, set 5,000 years before Game of Thrones. It's less politics and shagging and more magic and faeries

I think after the last few episodes, my hopes for a resumption of normality were dashed the last two weeks.

As much as the ending was one that many had foreseen, the manner in which it was portrayed and filmed was shockingly bad.

I think there has been a clear downturn in the show, and probably reflects George Martins requirement for show not to be same as book at end, which means writers have been left to their own devices.

Without Martin’s mind and plot development, the show has really disappointed and I am looking forward to the real ending and plot twists which will hopefully be published soon.

Still reckon it’s one of the best things to have been in telly, but could have been so, so much better - not sure how, only George Martin will (hopefully) be able to tell is this.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head.

It highlights how weak this season has been when you look back at some of the characters we've had the pleasure to watch and what they've done (killing daughters, pushing people out of a hole in the floor, killing relatives, pushing eyes into sockets etc etc.)
